Sum 41 – “With Me”

At SIRIUS Hits 1 we try our best to play the best of the best music but it’s hard to make all the listeners of the station happy. We do a music by committee thing so that it’s not just one person picking songs but tunes that have broad appeal and that we think should be heard. Luckily SIRIUS Hits 1 also has a show called “Hit-Bound” on the weekends where we can expose some new songs that probably won’t get any play on the radio or TV. Sum 41 came out with a new album a few months ago. We’ve played their songs on SIRIUS Hits 1 but it seemed that their new stuff isn’t clicking. Until, I found a song on the album called “With Me” that I think is awesome. I suggested we play it on the show and it eventually moved to a regular rotation on the station. No one else is really supporting the song except us and I’m glad that it’s finally starting to click with the audience, because I really like the song. They even played it during an episode of “Gossip Girl.” Then after we played the song for a bit Sum 41 finally made it a single and came out with a video for it. Check it out below.
